This delicious fudge recipe is a chocolate lovers delight. It's a super easy to make fudge recipe that doesn't require cooking skills. Few ingredients are needed to make this chocolate treat and it can be make in just a few minutes in the microwave. This is a basic fudge recipe but you can use it to create different variations of fudge. You can add marshmallows and nuts to make rocky road fudge or crushed peppermint to make peppermint fudge. Fudge makes a delicious chocolate treat for Valentine's Day. It's simple to make and doesn't require cooking on the stove so it's a treat that kids can make too.
How to Make Fudge
- Prep Time: 10 minutes
- Chill Time: 1 hour
- Servings: 24
Fudge Ingredients:
- 1 12-ounce package Semi-Sweet Chocolate Morsels
- 1 14-ounce can of Sweetened Condensed Milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Baking pan lined with waxed paper or foil lightly greased
- Optional - marshmallows and chopped walnuts
Fudge Directions:
- Line a baking pan with waxed paper or foil lightly greased.
- Pour the chocolate chips and the sweetened condensed milk into a microwave save bowl and microwave on high for about 1 minutes. Stir and microwave at additional 10-20 second intervals until melted and smooth.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- If making rocky road fudge, stir in the marshmallows and nuts.
- Pour the fudge into the prepared baking pan and refrigerate for about 1 hour before cutting into pieces.
- Rocky Road Fudge
- Add 3 cups miniature marshmallows (if you only have large marshmallows, cut 10-12 of them into smaller pieces)
- Add 1 cup chopped walnuts
- Mint Fudge
- Replace the chocolate chips with mint chocolate chips
- White Fudge
- Replace the chocolate chips with white chocolate chips
- Peppermint Fudge
- Add 1/4 teaspoon of peppermint extract
- Add 1/4 cup of crushed peppermint candy canes
