Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls

Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls

If you like Reese's Peanut Butter Cups you'll love these Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls because they are very similar in taste. They have the same chocolate coating with a smooth and creamy filling. This no-hassle recipe is very easy to make. It calls for 5 ingredients, and can be made without the use of a mixer. Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls are small in size but big, and rich, in taste. These little balls are great for satisfying your chocolate cravings. Simply pop one in your mouth and enjoy. Some people prefer to eat them at room temperature but they also taste great frozen. For my family I store them in the freezer in a Ziplock bag but for parties I place each one in a paper candy holder and serve on a platter.

How to make Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls

Chocolate Peanut Butter Balls
Easy, hassle free recipe recipe for Peanut Butter Balls. These little balls are rich and creamy, and taste similar to Reese's Peanut Butter Cups. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator or freezer for up to 2 weeks.
Ingredients:
2 cups creamy peanut butter
1/4 cup unsalted butter or margarine, room temperature
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups Confectioner's powdered sugar
1 pkg CandiQuik chocolate candy coating (if you don't have this ingredient, you can use semi-sweet chocolate chips instead)
Waxed paper

Directions:
1. Place the peanut butter and butter in a microwavable bowl; heat for about 1 minute or until soft.
2. Stir in the vanilla extract and powdered sugar; mix until it has the consistency of dough.
3. Roll dough into 1 inch balls and place on a baking sheet; refrigerate for about 20 minutes. Refrigerating them first will make it easier to dip and coat in the chocolate.
4. Line 2 baking sheets with waxed paper.
5. Melt the CandiQuik in the microwave.
6. Use a toothpick or dipping fork to dip each peanut butter ball into the melted chocolate. Place on waxed paper.
7. Refrigerate until the chocolate sets.
*Store leftovers in a Ziplock bag in the refrigerator or freezer for up to 2 weeks.
