Banana Ghosts

White Chocolate Halloween Banana Ghost Treat

Banana Ghosts
Banana ghosts are deliciously spooky Halloween treats. Banana ghosts are a combination of sweetness, nutrition and Halloween fun. They are simple treats for kids to make and fun for them to eat. A banana, a popsicle stick, melted white chocolate and a couple raisins for the ghost's eyes are all you need to make banana ghosts. If you can't get your kids to eat bananas just turn them into ghosts and your kids are more likely to gobble them up. Serve banana ghosts at your Halloween party and you're sure to get a giggle out of your guests.

How to Make Banana Ghosts

Banana Ghosts
Banana ghosts are really easy to make. They are fun anytime treats, ghostly treats for Halloween parties, and healthy-ish snacks for kids lunch boxes.
What you need to make banana ghosts:
  • Banana (One banana will make 2 ghosts)
  • Popsicle stick (one stick for each banana ghosts)
  • White chocolate chips or Wilton's white chocolate melts
  • For the ghost's eyes you can use raisins, chocolate M & M's, mini chocolate chips or black Jelly beans
  • Waxed paper (so the bananas coated in white chocolate don't stick to the plate)
Directions for making banana ghosts:
  1. Cut the banana in half crosswise.
  2. Push the popsicle stick in the bottom of the banana (push the stick in the flat part not the pointy tips).
  3. Place the bananas in the freezer until firm. About 1-2 hours.
  4. Pour the white chocolate chips into a microwave safe bowl and microwave (30 seconds at a time) until melted.
  5. Dip the banana in the melted white chocolate (coat the banana completely) and then place it on the waxed paper.
  6. Add the raisins for the ghost's eyes. If you don't want to use raisins you can use chocolate M & M's, mini chocolate chips or black Jelly beans.
  7. Return the banana ghosts back to the freezer until ready to serve.
